Interview Intel ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome extension that helps you capture and organize software engineering interview experiences from 1point3acres.com into a personal, searchable question library.
When you use the extension to capture an interview post, the following data is collected and sent to your Interview Intel account:
We also collect your email address and a hashed password when you register for an account.
All data you capture is stored in your own Interview Intel account on our API server (hosted on Railway). Data is scoped exclusively to your account — no other user can access your data.
Your login session (API key) is stored locally in your browser's chrome.storage.local and is never transmitted to any third party.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party. The only external service your captured data is sent to is the Anthropic Claude API, which is used to analyze and extract interview questions from the post content you capture. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
You can delete any or all of your data at any time from the Interview Intel dashboard. Deleting your account removes all associated interviews, questions, and experiences from our servers.
The extension requests the following browser permissions:
If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, please open an issue at our GitHub repository.
